A lad sun-bathing in a draped landscape window, watching other children at play amid the surroundings of a New Zealand health camp, with a background of native trees, is the design selected for the 1948 issue of health stamps, said the PostmasterGeneral (Mr F. Hackett) to-day. The design was prepared by Mr E. Linzell. of the staff of Bradbury Wilkinson and Company, England, printers of stamps.

The stamps are of the usual denominations, and will be placed on sale on October 1 and withdrawn on Jasuary 31, which is a month earlier than usual, but will avoid the issue overlapping into the special . commemorative issue to mark the Royal visit.
