When the Joint Organisation plan, for the disposal of the Empire’s wartime wool stocks comes up for review in 1950 the representatives of the growers of New Zealand, Australia and South Africa should be well prenared with proposals for some organisation to assume the marketing responsibilities of the Joint Organisation. ... , . ~ A reference to this is made in the annual report of the New Zealand
Wool Board. It states: “New Zealand. South Africa and Australia are all giving considerable attention to the position that will arise on the completion of the operations of the J.O. and are investigating the advisability of merging this organisation into some permanent marketing scheme.”
