Messrs Colin Hansen and Raymond Parkes, members of the Westport Dramatic Society, left yesterday, for Timaru to attend the New Zealand Drama Council’s ■ School of Stage management and production. Westport has had a large influx of visitors for the Golden Jubilee of the White Star Football Club, old members, with relatives having assembled from many parts of the Dominion. The jubilee is being celebrated today. Mr and Mrs Wm. Long, of Christchurch, are the guests ot Mrs Raffle, of Adderley Street Westport. Mrs Wake, of Christchurch, is also the guest of Mrs Raffle. Misses B. Morresey, K. Rooney, and R. Peillon, of Greymouth, are visitors to Westport, as the guests of Mr J. S. Connelly, for the White Star Football Club Jubilee.

Among visitors are Messrs A. Bradley, J. Guerin, Miss B. Guerin, Mr and Mrs A. Munson (Grey); Mesdames D. Corbett, Ratapiko, L. Baker (Wellington); Mr and Mrs G. Lamplough (Stratford); Mr and Mrs J. Hepburn (Hawke’s Bay); Mr and Mrs Eberhardt (Lower Hutt); Messrs W. Ryan (Wellington) and S. Blight (Christchurch). The funeral of Mr William John Nottle took place at Orowaiti cemetery on Thursday afternoon. It was attended bv a very large gathering of relatives and friends, including members of bowling clubs and Masonic Lodges. Rev. H. Flatt conducted the service at the graveside and Bro. J. M. Robertson read the Masonic service. Bearers were Messrs E. Chapman, R. Kelpe, C. Atkin and A. Shaw. Airways passengers yesterday at Westport were: From Hokitika, Mr C. McLean; from Wellington. Mi Carmine, Mrs Carmine, Mr A. Hansby, Mrs A. Baker Mr Newcombe, Mr E. Lockington; from Nelson, Mr Hughes, Miss D. McKenzie, Mrs McKenzie; for Wellington, Mr and Mrs J. Shinnick, Mr I. Morgan.
