REEFTON NOTES

The following officers were elected at the annual meeting of the Reefton R.S.A.:—

President, Mr W. P. Schroeder; vice-presidents Messrs C. H. Chandlei W. J. Cutbush and E. C. Dobson; secretary, Mr F. L. Bourke; assistant secretary and treasurer, Mr J. P'. Lee executive, Messrs R. G. G. Wilson, W Gore-Porter, F. W. Marshall, A. E. Elliston, W. Buckley, L. W. Wood K. Cutbush A. C. Cleaver, A. J. Saunders, P. J. Gallagher, E. W. White and F. T. Lawry.

Mr W. J. Cutbush was re-appointed delegate to the Rehabilitation Committee, and Mr T. H. Lee, junior, auditor.

The retiring’ president, Mr W. Gore-Porter, reported a fairly successful year, with a higher membership. The sum of £464 6s 6d had been spent on food parcels for Britain apart from about £l5O worth of Patriotic Fund parcels, which had been packed and sent by members with the assistance of the women’s section A recommendation was made that following the example of other Returned Services’ Associations, honorary mmbers be admitted, to ensure that each serviceman would be aple to invite a friend who was not a member of the R.S.A. Election of honorary members would be on the proposal of servicemen only, but it was recommended that they have a representative on the club management committee of six.

Members of the club committee elected were Messrs W. P. Humph-' ries, E. J. Reeve and D. Ross. The remaining two members will be appointed subsequently by the executive.

The management committee will draw up rules for the conduct and management of the club, following the rules of older established clubs in other centres.
