ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL
AUSTRALIAN TEAM A match between the minor associations of the South Island and the visiting Australian team was contemplated by the New Zealand Council, the secretary of the South Canterbury Football Association, Mr H. Dodds; reported at a meeting of the association this week. The match would be held either in Timaru or Invercargill. Although no official information was available, it had been reported in the press that Timaru had been selected as the venue of the match in August.
