Nationalists Forming New Government CAPETOWN, June 1. The Nationalist leadex-, Dr D. JJ. Malan. after an 11-mmute interview with the Governor-General, Major G. B. van Zyl, in Pretoria, decided to form a Cabinet. Dr Malan told correspondents. “South Africa is our- own now and will stay our own.” Mr Havenga, leader of the Afrikander Party and a likely member of the new Government, said: We want to co-operate with Britain to achieve a peaceful revolution.” General Smuts has accepted the offer of a seat in the South African Parliament from Mr C. W. Clark, M.P. for Pretoria East. This means that General , Smuts will lead the Opposition in the new Parliament.
