Missing Railway Tarpaulins
INVERCARGILL, June 1. The fact that 200 tarpaulins belonging to the Railways Department were missing throughout New Zealand was mentioned during a prosecution in the Magistrate’s Court at Wyndham. This had. been revealed after officers of the department had toured the country on a check-up, and in this case had. noticed that the accused was using two of these tarpaulins to cover an oak stack and some lime. The tarpaulins are valued at £2O each.
