Airways passengers at Westport c. Saturday were: From Palmersto North, Mrs Scanlon and infant; iron Wellington, Mr Marshall, Miss J May, Miss M. Hardy. Monday’s passengers were: From Wellington, Mrs L. Davies: from Nelson, Mr Sheridan, Miss Taylor; for Wellington, Mr E. Lockington, Mr V. Newcombe, Mr J. Trainer, Mrs E. Skilton, Mr K. J. Peterkin; for Auckland, Miss Bowden.
The funeral of Mr Wilfred Egbert Sheldon took place at Orowaiti Cemetery on Sunday afternoon. Relatives and friends, ncluding members of the Buffalo Lodge, were present. Rev. E. H. Flatt conducted the service at the graveside. Brother E. Wildey read the R.A.0.8. service. The pall-bearers were Bros. A. McMahon, C. McDonnell, P. Murray, V. Harkins, T. Boyd and W. Brown. Many beautiful floral tributes were placed on the grave.
