Only Now Nearing Normal Condition
PA. AUCKLAND, May 31. ‘A call for about’ fifty men to discharge Australian cargo from the idle steamer Mountpark will be made to-morrow morning by the Waterfront Industry Commission. A requisition for three gangs has been made by the ship’s agents, the Union Company. . , x , . Pending the hearing of to-days court case, no labour has been ordered since last Thursday by the Commission, although daily requisitions have been made by the Company. Although some months have now elapsed since the settlement of the last Mountpark dispute. The port traffic is only now returning to normal. The last ship at anchor, the Comliebank. will berth to-morrow morning, after waiting since Mav 23 to land cargo from the Gulf of Mexico. Only one ship, the coastal steamer Kaimanawa, is tied up while waiting for a dischaiging berth. —
