The collier Kartigi has been held at Auckland since Friday, because members of her engine-room staff do not approve of the quality of the carpet material supplied for hand rags. The steamer was ready to sail for Westport when the men’s decision was announced. , ‘ The coljier’s sailing is now set down for tomorrow. The Kartigi is the third collier in the Auckland-West Coast service to be delayed here this month.
