INFANT STRANGLED IN RAILS OF COT

P.A. AUCKLAND; May 30. A 16-mouths-old boy waif strangled when he became caugmggup in che rails of his cot at his name in Parnell on Saturday. He was Henry Lawrence Bean, son of Mr H. J. Bean, of Parnell. The child was left playing alone in his cot for a minute while his mother was attending to another child. When she returned to the room ,she found the baby’s body hanging outside the cot. The child’s head was caught between the top of. the cot and .the rail that had been added to the top to prevent him climbing out. He was freed immediately ,but was found to be dead.
