At the monthly meeting of the above held recently in the school, Mrs Price presided over a very good attendance. Mrs Dreckman gamqd the highest number of noints for the year in the best bloom comnetition, and received a painting of Lake Brunner. The gift of Mrs Malcolm senr. A comnetition for plain scones was won by Mesdames Price and Malcolm equal, and a best bloom competition by Mesdames Dreckman and R. Dense eaual. A demonstration of crocheting was given by Mrs E. Dense and was much appreciated. At a “bring and buy” sales table good business was done, with Mrs Rankin as auctioneer. She also won the “wandering shilling.” Afternoon tea was served by the hostesses, Mesdames Murphy and Malcolm, and the meeting was brought to a close with the singinp- of the New Zealand National • -
