U.S. Republican Party’s Presidential Primaries
NEW YORK, April 16. Mr Harold Stassen, former Governor of Minnesota, won a sweeping victory in the Republican Partys Presidential primary election in the State of Nebraska. With slightly more than half the vote counted, Me had a lead of more than 10,000 over Air Thomas Dewey and nearly 25,000 over Senator Robert Taft.
The other fouf candidates w'ere far in the rear, General MacArthur having 2926 votes to Mr Stassen’s 37,046.
