N.Z. NURSES WELCOME RISE IN PAY

WELLINGTON, April 16. ‘‘We feel our nurses will be very satisfied with the new scale, excepting for one or two features, in particular the question of annual leave, said the secretary of the New Zealand Registered Nurses' Association, Miss _E. S. Brown, to-day, in commenting on the new salary scale for nurses, announced yesterday. "We consider,” she said, “that the maiority of our submissions have been granted. There are one or two items which are not quite up to all we originally asked for, but the great maiority have been approved. In a few cases we have been given more than we asked for and we feel it is a definite improvement.
