New Bay Found in Weddell Sea

NEW YORK, April. 15. The Finn Ronne Antarctic expedition returned to New York yesterday two days ahead of schedule. They will be given an official reception tomorrow. Sir Hbert Wilkins went ' out to greet the explorers, whose ship had anchored in the .stream. Among the most. important discoveries by the 15-month expedition was Larry’ Gould Bay, a great indentation in the face ■ of the icecliffs which form the Weddell Sea’s southern coast. The bay lies over 9000 miles from the previous nearest wintering station and will bring a vast unexplored sectoi' within aircraft range. Ronne hopes to return ,t 0 the Antarctic as soon as ( he finishes his report to th P expedition’s sponsors.
