fN.Z.P.A.—Reuter Cable]

(Rec. 11.0). SHANGHAI, April 15. Mystery shrouds the fate of more than five hundred passengers from the steamer Wan Lee, who landed in a Communist area on the Shantung coast, after their vessel grounded and sank on Monday.

The passengers included thirteen foreigners. The relatives packed the offices of the Fooming Shipping Company, the ship’s owners, yesterday, shouting and crying, as they demanded more information and immediate steps to rescue the passengers.
