Dance Recital

At the conclusion of the dance recital in the Theatre Royal on Saturday evening, the Mayor (Mr J. M. Robertson) congratulated Miss Audrey Nott on producing such a fine programme, the dancing in which was of a very high standard indeed. He also -thanked, on behalf of Miss Nott, the dress designers, Miss J. Woodward,. Mrs Neill and Miss P. Agent; the stage manager, Mr Bill Pearce; house manager, Mr D. Gemmill, and all others who had so generously assisted to make both nights such a success.

Before the company were presented with bouquets and other gifts, Mr Jack Wilson introduced to the audience Misses Rosemary O’Brien (Greymouth), June Stackhouse, Imelda Sowry, Messrs Lloyd Hansen (Greymouth), Jim Elley, “Scottie” Blair, Alick Mclntyre and his orchestra. Miss Valmai Phipps (operatic accompaniste), Mi- J. Gannon (piper;, and Miss Audrey Nott.
