NEW PARALYSIS CASES IN HAWKE’S BAY AND TARANAKI

P.A. HASTINGS, April 14 A positive case of infantile paralysis in the Hastings district was xeported to-day, the subject being a 19-year-old girl. Yesterday another positive case, that of a 10-month-old baby was notified, in addition to a 16-year-old girl suspect. The total for the Hastings district since the epidefnic began now stands at four positive, one of which has proved fatal, and one suspect. P.A. NEW PLYMOUTH, April 14 . Three positive cases of poliomyelitis were reported in the Taranaki health district to-day. They were a boy aged three at Taiporohenui. a boy aged four at Hawera, and a boy aged fourteen at Oeo. Thirty-eight cases have now been notified in Taranaki since November.' Of these ten have occurred this month.
