Fatal Motor Collision Involves Elderly People
P.A. AUCKLAND, April 14. A fatal motor accident occurred at Te Hoe,, 15 miles from Huntly, this afternoon, when a man was killed. and his wife and two relatives were injured.
The man was Sydney Herbert Spencer, aged 73, farmer, of Waiterimu.
Those injured were; Mrs Rose Minnie Spencer, aged 64, wife of Mr S. H. Spencer, who suffered a lacerated scalp; Alfred Spencer, aged 79, of Blenheim, who sustained concussion and a fractured left leg; Mrs ERiza Spencer, aged auout 70, wife of Mr A. Spencer, who suffered bruises to the head and concussion.
Mx’ S. H. Spencex’ was driving the cax’ along Te Hoe road in the direction of r fiahuna when the vehicle was involved in a collision with a car travelling in the same direction, and driven by F. S. Bulford, of Mt. Maunganui. Spencer’s cax- left the road, but it returned and it again struck Bulford’s car.
Mr S. H. Spencer, his wife and Mrs and Mrs A. Spencer, who are his brothei- and sister-in-law, were admitted to Waikato Hospital.
