Pillion Rider Killed in Collision
CHRISTCHURCH, April 13
Fatal injuries were suffered by a young man in a collision in the city at 10.30 a.m. to-day. He was Ronald W. Smart, aged about 25. a tramway motorman, of 24 Mcßratney’s Road, Dallington. Mr Smart was a pillion passenger on a motor-cycle driven by Marvyn James Philp, of 18 Forbes Street, Sydenham. The motor-cycle collided with a truck driven by Thomas Ball, of 411 Moorhouse Avenue.
