AUSTRALIA’S QUEST: URANIUM DEPOSITS

CANBERRA, April 13. A maximum reward of £25,1)00 will be paid by the Commonwealth Government, for the discovery ot a deposit of uranium ore. This was announced bv the Minister of Shipping and fuel, Senator Ashley. Previously the Government had offered a reward of £2OOO for any discovery capable of producing 25 tons of uranium oxide. Rewards range from £lOOO for any discovery ot economic importance not less than 15 miles from any other known deposit.
