Zionists Proclaim Provisional Government
(Rec. 9.50). JERUSALEM, April 12. The General Zionist Council had a meeting in Tel Aviv last night. It proclaimed • the creation of a thirtyseven member provisional Government Council for a Jewish State in Palestine. It said Arab delegates who “recognised a Jewish State” would be co-opted.
800 Jews Intercepted in Ship (Rec. 10.50) JERUSALEM, April 13 A ship carrying eight hundred Jewish illegal immigrants has been intercepted off the Palestine coast. She is being escorted into Haifa.
