“New Look” Arrives At Greymouth

Although the “New Look”, or lengthened skirt line has been seen in the main cities of this country in the last few months, there has been only one example of the type in Greymouth. Yesterday, however, another was worn in Mackay Street.

The skirt, part of an ensemble in black with trimmings, extended well below the knee and flared out to jagged edges. Although perhaps becoming to its wearer, some male onlookers were heard to pass uncomplime nta ry remarks about the design.
