(Rec. 7.30) NEW YORK, April 1 The Security Council decided to call a special Palestine session of the United Nations’ General'Assembly on April 16. The vote was nine for and two against with Russia and the Ukraine abstaining. The Council also decided to call lor a Jewish-Aiab truce in Palestine. The Jewish Agency representative declared that he could not agree to a truce unless the United Nations continued its efforts for the partition of Palestine. , . . The Arabs reserved their decision on the truce, but agreed to send a representative to discuss the terms. Hr adds that an urgent, radio call has been sent to the Secretary-Gen-eral of the United Nations (Mr Trygve Lie) by a senior member oi the United Nations Palestine Commission, asking him to send .Mr Frank Begley, the United Nations senior security officer, to form the nucleus of an international police force to guard Jerusalem.
