EASTER ART UNION RESULTS

WELLINGTON, April 1.

The “My Easter Egg” art union, drawn this morning, resulted as follows :—

First prize, £2OO. —195234, “Terrific,” Box 797, Auckland. Second prize, £500.—40585 “Easter Luck” Lower Hutt.

Third prize, £2OO.; — 72549, “Frances, Patmos and Grill,” Dunedin.

Fourth prize, £l5O. —27527 "Four Leghorn,” Epsom.

Prize-winners in Westland were:— £lO prices.—75767, "Second Honeymoon,” Glaciers. £5 prizes.-—106647, Mrs R. Lemon, Sergeant’s Hill, Westport; 195762>.G. E. Shaw, C/o. Fire Station, Greymouth; 46599, Mrs Barker. Oiira; 106634 “My Lucky Easter.” 130 Romilly Street, Westport; 46717 “K K K Luck.”

Two prizes with one ticket through the extraordinary coincidence of the same number being drawn twice in the one art union is the luck of an Auckland ticket-holder in the art union. The number was first drawn among the major prizes and Sergeant G. J. Fitzpatrick, representing the police, then drew the first prize marble for it. Later in the morning when the £5 prizes were being drawn the numbered marbles _ again made up the number of the first prize-win-ning ticket. The dual winning ticket was No. 195234, “Terrific,” Box i 97 Auckland.
