Reefton experienced a stormy Easter, several residents losing sheets of iron from their roofs with the severe wind throughout Saturday night. „ . Mr and Mrs Chadwick, of Christchurch, are here on a visit to their son, Mr A. Chadwick. Mr A. Isbister spent Easter at Dunedin , Mr G. Nedd, of Tasman, Nelson, is the guest of his sister, Mrs Haldane, (senior). . . . Mrs Sutton, of Nelson, is visiting Mrs A. McElwee. Mr and Mrs W. Knight, of Christchurch, were visitors to Reefton for Pl st Pl* Miss’N. Blom, of Wellington, spent Eax.cr with her parentsMr D. Sharpe, of Christchurch, is spending a holiday with relatives. Mr D. Kearns of Christchurch, visited his relatives for the week-end. At the monthly meeting of the Inangahua Hospital Board there were present Messrs C. Coxall (chairman), J. McGregor, R. Haldane, J. Coghlan, A Topp, A. We) Is and Mesdames R. Yellowlees and A. Hardie. The matron’s report stated that Sister Davidson had resumed duties. It was asked that some urgent repairs be carried out. Messrs Haldane, and Coxall. for the visiting committee, advised the painting of the annexe roof. It was decided to call tenders for groceries to the hospital. Mrs Hardie and Mr Wells were appointed as the visiting committee. The Superintendent’s report stated: Admitted 40, discharged 26, remaining 36, births 13, deaths 1, X-rays 34, out-patients 64, anaesthetics, general 16, local 7.
