BIG LOTTERY PRIZE TO DUNEDIN

DUNEDIN, Marcli 30

Somewhere in Dunedin, presumably in Maori Hill, a syndicate holds a ticket in an Australian consultation entitling it to first prize of £lO,000. Air mail notification of the results of the consultaton were received by some agents this morning, but city representatives approached could not identify “Housey Syndicate, Maori Hill,” the lucky winners. If the members of the syndicate bought their tickets from an _ agent not on the air mail service, it is possible that they will not know their good fortune for perhaps another week, for “Housey" has become a popular nom de plume with Dunedin supporters. The consultation was proiitable for New Zealanders, for the second prize of £2OOO went to Wellington, and the fifth, of £750, went to Auckland. .
