SOVIET USING U.N.O. FOR PROPAGANDA SAYS N.Z. SPOKESMAN
VANCOUVER, March 27. Mr James Thorn, the New Zealand High Commissioner to Canada, interviewed here, said: "Palestine and Czechoslovakia will prove testing grounds for the United Nations Organisation, which faces destruction unless it is given military power to back up its rulings”. Mr Thorn said: “The use of the veto is indefensible from the democratic viewpoint, but Russia will not withdrawn from U.N.O. so long as she can use it as a forum to present her views to the world”. Mr Thorn is making a nation-wide goodwill trip with Mrs Thorn.
