It is proposed that each I year a leading world authority on : nuclear physics should deliver an ad- ! dress reviewing world progress in I this subject, successively at the four i academic centres associated with the ' name of Rutherford —Canterbury I Universitt College, New Zealand, i Manchester and Cambridge Universities, in England and McGill University, Canada. I This would mean that once every i four years an address of outstanding importance on world research ■ into nuclear physics wound be delivI ered in New Zealand by a leading ! authority of the day. Lady Rutherford has already signi- ! lied her approval of the scheme.
