NEW YORK, March 24. Reports from Lake Success and Paris say that the United Nations Security Council soon will receive a demand that it take up again Italy's request for membership of in? United Nations. The United States is now considering presenting the demand, while Britain is also preparing to take the initiative. • A correspondent says: "The move is being timed to coincide with the Italian election campaign. Russia has been preventing Italian admission to th P United Nations and Moscow will then be put on the spot. She must either accede to the British demand or oppose it, and in either case, London would get the popularity and credit.
