Tips for U.S. Tourists to Pipe Down

American overseas Airlines have issued a handbook ent'lfled “Happy Landings” which will be distributed among all passengers bound for Europe. It advises American tourists they' they arrive in Britain or Europe not to boast, about big buildings at home. “We have no monopoly of the good things of life.” ii says, “and as far as we know the world was all created about the same time.” This last is a reference to file tendency of Americans to refer to the United States as “God’s Own Country.” Further advice given in the bandbook is “Never'say ‘How much is this in real money?’ The other fellows’ money, though it may' be depreciated, is just as real to'him as yours is to you, ‘Say farewell to gorgeous ties and see that your dress conformj. with that of those' around you. Don’t make cracks about the coffee.” The booklet suggests that American visitors to Britain should bring soap, saccharin tablets, coffee, spare buttons, and sewing and darning materials with therj'..
