Miners’ Seven-hour Day

P.A. CHRISTCHURCH, Jan. 29 He had nothing to say at present said the Minister of Mines, the Hon. A. McLagan, when he was asked to-day about a report that the miners in State coal mines would be working a sevenhour day from April 5. Mr McLagan said ho would make a statement soon, possibly when he returned to Wellington to-morrow.
