P.A. WELLINGTON. June 5. Mr Keith J. Holvoake. a former National member of Parliament for Motueka, was unanimously accepted by the National Partv throughout the electorate as the official National candidate for the Pahiatua by-elec-tion and the General Election, in succession to Sir A. Ransom, who

died recently. The official Labour candidate is Mr G. A. Hansen, farmer, of Kaiparoroi Eketahuna, who was unanimously selected to contest the seat at the last General Election.
