Owing to his receiving word to enter camp, Mr. Johnstone, the very popular local Postmaster, was met at his home on Wednesday night by the chairman and members of the local Soldiers’ Farewell Committee and presented with a wallet and contents. Mr. Eder conveyed the very best wishes of his committee and all Brunner residents. During his stay”, Mr. Johnstone has proved himself a most popular Postmater and has deservedly‘earned the high esteem of the people of the Brunner district, through h ! s very corteous manner. We wish him a 'safe and early return. Miss Russia, Miss Jugoslavia, and Miss Russia’s attendants are to be present at the Shop Day to be held on Friday, in Greymouth and at the Lvceum dance afterwards. ‘Miss S'. Chetwynd is visiting Mr. and Mrs. T. Nimmo. of Taylorville.
Mrs. G. Meagher, W.A.A.F., is at present home on leave.
