At the monthly meeting of the Nelson Land Board there were present: Messrs P. R. Wilkinson, Commissioner of Crown Lands (Chairman), J. O’Regan, J. Creighton, A. Rowling and G. L. Mead. Applications were: —Section 3, town of Carter’s Beach. 32 perches. —Resolved to approve application of G. M. Munro for a renewable lease, as at 12/5/43, annual rental £2 ss. Applications for grazing rights:— Crown Land adjoining road and Crown Land adjoining Section 11, Block IV, Rahu S.D., 10 acres (app.) —Resolved to grant Miss M. L. Norriss a year-to-year license, at a rental of £1 2s per annum as from 12/5/43. O.L. Crown Land on west bank of Waitahu River in Blocks X, XI, and XV, Reefton S.D., 150 acres (app).— Resolved to grant H. Farrell a year-to-year license, at a rental of £3 13s per annum. O.L. Sections 602, 603. 604, 605 and 744, 745, 746, 747, town of Reefton, 2 roods 1.68 perches.— Resolved to grant H. Hocking a year-to-vear license from 12/5/43, at a rental of £1 per annum. O.L. Section 634, Town of Reefton, area 12.3 perches (Licensee, Mr R. S. Chandler). —Resolved to terminate license at 30/6/43, and to grant a year-to-year license to B. Byrne as from 1/7/43. at a rental of 10s per annum. Transfer: —T.R. Section 65, Block 111, Kawatiri S.D., 27.02 perches; transferror (Mrs Gee Queen Luey), transferree Margaret Wishart.—Approved. 0.L., area on both sides of Stony Creek in Block 111, Mawheraiti S.D., area, 160 acres approxi.)—Resolved to grant a timber cutting license over an area of 80 acres for six months from 12/5/43, at State Forest Royalty rates no cutting within 2 chains either side of Stony Creek, or within 30 chains of main road, deposit £lO.
