OBITUARY
MRS. MARY FLEMING. The death occurred at Wanganui on Sunday of Mrs. Mary Fleming widow of the late Mr. Cecil Fleming. Deceased who was 60 years of age was a native of No Town, Kamaka, being a member of the well-known Gillin family. She commenced her training as a nurse at the Westland Hospital when Dr. Teichelmann was Superintendent of that institution, and was subsequently for many years a sister on the staff of the Grey River Hospital. Later she was appointed Matron of the Taumarunui Hospital. The late Mrs. Fleming was predeceased some years ago by her husband who was a solicitor at Wanganui and Patea. She leaves two sons, Patrick and William, and is also survived by her mother, Mrs. P. Gillin who resides at Shirley, Christchurch. She is also survived by one brother, Mr. Patrick Gillin. school teacher; and by eight sisters Mesdames T. Goldsmith, E. Mathews, and T. Coll, all of Greymouth, T. Campbell, who is at present visiting Ireland, M. Bayne, (Shirley), H. Morgan, (Wanganui); J. Fenn, (Hutt Valley), and W. Dailey (Lower Hutt).
