CHEESE MARKETING. AUCKLAND, September 18. Control of cheese marketing is not contemplated at the moment, although the Government is most anxious to assist in popularising consumption of that product within New Zealand, according to a statement by Mr F. R. Picot, Director of Internal Marketing. 4 ~ Yesterdaj’ and to-day Mr Picot discussed with butter distributors the internal marketing regulations introduced recently by Order-in-Council in the Auckland district. So far prices only have been .fixed, but Mr P lc ®l' hinted that the general scheme would be enforced here in the near future. Representatives of the trade which includes 12 distributing firms, submitted evidence they had obtained to show why they felt that the present administration of the market was so efficient that no Government action should be taken.
