FALL IN WOOL PRICES. NO JAPANESE BID AT SYDNEY. (Received 11.5 p.m., September 20.) SYDNEY, September 20. At to-day’s wool sales, 8,414 bales were offered and 5,580 were sold ar. auction, also 955 bales privately. The market, compared to last Sydney series, was from par to five per cent, lower, chiefly on the best descriptions. An irregularity of faulty and inferior wools was still in evidence. Competition was mainly from Yorkshire and the Continent. There was no Japanese bidding. Top price was 22d.
