Alagnificent photographs of their Roval Highnesses the Duke and Due.h ess of York, appear in this week’s issue of the ‘‘N.Z. Sporting and Dramatic Review,” including their arrival, the b-nding at the Admiralty steps, the Harbour Board’s welcome and many other striking incidents of the landing reproduced with remarkable fidelity. There is a striking full page showing the H.AI.S. Renown swinging to her .moorings and another page gives views of the Royal quarters on the vessel. An unique half page photograph gives a general view on the Queen’s Wharf and approach to the gates while the welcome from the Port of Auckland authorities is the subject of a wonderful camera study. A fine naval picture that will attract attention depicts the officers and crew of the “Philomel” at play. The whalers’ race on the Waitemata between warships’ crews comprises an animated set of pictures while special prominence is given the 1927 Sanders Cup Race. Snapshots at the Taranaki Jockey Club’s Afeeting and the Otahuhu Trotting Club’s gathering furnish the sporting side very interestingly. Stage and motion pictures ami fashions have a highly attractive representation.
