FATALITIES.

MOTOR TRAGEDY. GISBORNE, February 27. There was a motor fatality at Toko inaru Bay. Miss Kate Ure, who was in a car with Mr. Wheat, received minor injuries, and was admitted to Tepwa Hospital. Wheat -was travelling along a beach road towards Waima, having intimated his intention of looking on at a native dance. The front wheel of the car struck a depression in the road, causing the car to overturn, pinning both occupants underneath. Wheat sue cumbed shortly after he was evtractcd. Deceased formerly was Superintendent of the oilfields work at Taranaki. He had been there about a year. He is married and it is understood his wife and relatives are in California.
