CHILD FATALLY SCALDED. AUCKLAND, Feb. 25. A two-year-old boy, Owen Edward I Dunne, who was accompanying his mother on a visit to a friend’s house, fell j into a copper of boiling water yesterday. lie died at the hospital to-day. Phe boy was the only child of Mr and Airs A. E. Dunne, of Alount Eden. SUICIDE. DUNEDIN, February 25. Leslie Robert Lewis, aged 26, labourer, married, was found in a paddock at Springvale, with his head blown off Deceased had been in ill health. BODY OF DROWNED YOUTH. AUCKLAND, Feb. 25. The body of Robert Brown, who was drowned on February 2(1, when fjshing in Rangitoto Channel, was recovered floating off Campbell Point this morn ing. Deceased, with three other men was capsized from a small sailing boat.' The other occupants were rescued by a launch, after they had been clinging to the boat for nearly an hour.
