AUCKLAND WOOL SALE. AUCKLAND, February 21. The second wool sale of the season in Auckland was opened this evening when an offering of 20,000 bales was catalogued. Owing to the visit of the Duke and Duchess of York, it was decided to sell the whole catalogue at one sitting. Bidding was spirited from the opening, prices showing a considerabli appreciation compared with last sale. In general, values showed an-improve-ment in early catalogues of Id to 2d per lb on the previous sale. All classes of w-00l were competed for keenly, super quality and lambs’ wool showing an ad vance of at least 2d per lb. A feature of the sale was the manner in which Continental buyers competed with Brad ford. WOOL MARKET. SYDNEY, Feb. 21. At the wool sales the market was unchanged. The sales reflected the best features of last week’s closing auctions. Comebacks and crossbreds were firm at late rates. Greasy merino sold to 32 pence.
