AQUAPLANING.

Sir. —On reading through the pro gramme for the forthcoming Swimming Carnival, 1 notice an event “Aquaplaning”. 1 would like to know if this thrilling feat is to be accomplished by experts, and that any risk of mishap is to bo minimised by capable management assisted with suitable life saving equipment. For the benefit of the spec tutors 1 would suggest that a barricade be put up a clear fifteen yards from tlr? edge of the river bank owing to the wave caused by the terrific speed re quired. This will no doubt save everyone tiie discomfort of standing wit-h wet feet for the greater part of the afternoon. 1 am etc., INTERESTED.
