REEFTON WEDDING.

WALKER— OSBORNE. I A wedding of considerable interest took place at St. Stephen’s Church,: Beefton, yesterday afternoon at two o’clock, when the Rev. J. W. Bloyci united in matrimony, Myrtle Amy, daughter of Mrs J. and the late James Osborne, of Rccfton, to Harry Leslie Walker, of Feiiding, and formerly ot Beefton. The bride ’ entered the church on the arm of her brother, and was simply but artistically gowned in a frock of cream taffeta, made with Viitorian bodice, with scalloped full skirt, hand-embroidered and open lattice work her exquisite veil was heavily enibroidered in silver and worn with a coronet of orange blossom buds, silver shoes being worn with this pretty toilette, and instead of the usual bouquet, a sheaf of white gladioli was carried by the bride. The bridesmaids were Miss Rene Mallison (Wellington) and Miss Rene Horne (Christchurch) both cousins of the bride. The former’s frock was a rose-pink taffeta, long bodice and full skirt; silver brocade shoes and a tulle cap with silver lace coronet front, anil llohg tulle scarf. Miss Horne was at tired in a pale blue floral taffeta, with long bodice, full skirt, and gold satin shoes, pale blue tulle cap with coronet of silver lace and scarf. Both brides (maids carried multi-coloured posies and made a very charming group. Mr. R. Powley attended the bridegroom. A'fter the ceremony, some 300 guests, at the invitation of the bride’s mother assemb led at the Band Room, when the party were entertained at a sumptuous breakfast, and the usual toasts were proposed and honoured. Tho popular young couple left ’midst a shower of confetti for their honeymoon, which is being spent at the Glaciers, before proceeding to their future, home in Fielding, MrWalker f ravelling in a cherry and fawn georgette model frock, with velour hat. and black satin coat. The presents were numerous and handsome, testifying to the esteem in which the young couple «ire held.
