HAWERA RACES. HAWERA, Feb. 16. The annual racing fixture of the Hawera Motor-cycle Club was hold to-day in glorious weather. The track was very fast. In the flying mile, P. Coleman (heavyweight) established a record for th? course of 47 2-5 secs, only 2-5 of a *••( rond higher than the World’s record. W. Allen won the Hawera Cup of seven miles. R. Patton being second and W. 11. Berkett third. Time 7.40. li. Mangham won the Egmont Racing Club Handicap, of nine miles, S. V. McCready being second, and E. Edwards 3rd. The time was nine minutes dead. The Eltham Handicap, of six miles was won by 11. Morgan, with King second and 11. Harker third. Time 6.27. President’s Handicap, 12 miles. — C. E. Lowe 1, G. R. Arnott 2, 11. Mangham 3. Time 11.21. Manaia Handicap, seven miles. — 11. Morgan 1, W. Allan 2, 11. Harker 3. Time 7.31. Normanby Handicap, seven miles.— E. Lowe 1, W. H. Herbert 2, J. R Arnott 3.
