CRIPPLING OF TRADE UNIONS. OPPOSED BY BRITISH RAILWAY MEN. LONDON, Feb, 13. At a conference of railwaymen’s district councils, a resolution was passed demanding that national political and industrial movements oppose legislation indicated in the King’s speech interfering with the Trades Disputes Act, and restricting the functions of trades unions. It was also resolved to insist on the unconditional restoration of the guaranteed week, and to arrange a conference in order to unite the three railway unions into one organisation.
