Martini and George Wilson. At the first meeting of the committee held subse-<ruently } Mr B. Lyons was re-elected chairman and Mr W. Mitchell, junr., secretary and treasurer, re-elected. kumara! There was a very poor attendance of householders at the annual meeting held in the schoolhouse at Kumara. Mr W. E. Richards occupied the chair. The following gentlemen wer enominatd as a committee and declared elected for the ensuing year : —A. Aitken. Rev. H. Braddock, T. T. Jones, J. Murdoch, W. E. Richards, A. Stubbs. A. Walters. At/ a subsequent meetin gof the new committee, Mr A. Aitken was appointed chairman, and Mr Braddock secretary. Mr T. T. 'Jones was re-elected treasurer and the chairman and secretary were ap- " pointed to sign cheques.
