WOOD— LINDOP.
At Holy Trinity Church yesterday afternoon the Yen. Archdeacon York; assisted by the Rev. G. R. Parnett, performed the ceremony of hoiy matrimony between Jessie, the eldest dughter of Mrs A. B. Lindop, of Opwper Street, and Mr Frank Wood, of Greymouth and late of Christchurch. The church presented a very pretty sight having been beautifully decorated by the friends of the happy couple. A large floral wedding bell, hung in the chancel and _ bearing- the initials of the bride and 'bridegroom were a feature of the decorations. The bride entered the church on the arm\af her brother. Mr Fred Lindop, looking a real fairy bride and attired in a most ibeautiful princess robe of white silk chiffon taffeta with panel ' and : yoke of white silk lace with pearl trimmings. A wreath of orange 'blossoms, a veil of Limerick lace work ed iby her sister, and a shower bouquet, tHe igife of her mother were_ all most becoming. The bride also wore a lovely pearl and torquoise pendant the gift of Archdeacon and Mrs York. 'i.-> bride was attended by two bridesmaids, viz., Miss Bessie Lindop and Miss Wood. The former wore a pale blue crepe merve costumes daintily trimmed with lace and insertion. She wore a black Qtiaker hat trimmed with roses. Miss Wood was attired in pale ping crepe merve trimmed with roses. Miss Wood was attired in pale pink crepe merve trimmed with lace and insertion arid wore a black Quaker hat trimmed with roses. Both 'bridesmaids carried shower bouquets. The bridegroom was attended by Mr H. Wood as best man and Mr E. Wood as groomsman. Mrs L'indop (mother of the bride) wore a navy blue silk merve costume with black and" white toque. At the conclusion of the ceremony, '">.-! bridal party, left the church to the strains of Barnby's Bridal March,' played by Mrs G. W. York. A reception was subsequently held at the Oddfellows Hall. r The bridegroom's gift to the bride was a gold watch and chain and to the bridesmaids gold 'bangles. The brides' gift to the bridegroom was a pair of gold sleeve links. After the wedding breakfast the newly married pair left for Hokitika en route to Christchurch, where the honeymoon will be spent. ' The bride's travelling- dress was a tailor-made navy blue costume with It?* to match. May every jo" 1 " and happiness attenn **V p.nd Mrs Wood in their married life.
