COBDEN.
At the election at Cobden over 100 residents attended. Mr W. Williams occupied the chair. The report and balance sheet were read and considered very satisfactory. The following new committee were elected: Messrs W. Williams (chairman), A. Gunn (secretary and treasurer), L. D. Williams, A. Harrison, D. Willis, J. iVieade, W. Petherbridge. The unsuccessful candidates were Messrs Scalner, Muirhead and Sexton.
