ANCHORAGE PROHIBITED.
A new oy-law adopted at the meet ing of the Wellington Harbour Board on Wednesday, night stipulates that vessels will not in future be allowed to anchor closer to the Wellington wharves than the anchorage in the stream. This will prevent any Jikelihood of a recurrence of a mishap like the running down of the schooner Jessie Nicol, off the Glasgow wharf a few years ago.
